Alan’s version of Microsoft Word crashes after about 2 minutes of use each time. The following error displays: “Runtime Error Programme C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office10/Winword.exe Abnormal Program Termination”. The problem might be related to a Word add-in. This article may provide a solution – http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q322201 Also, a re-install of Word or an up to date virus scan might help.
Jason re-installed windows and now every time he restarts it goes straight to a Grub Command line. This is indicative of problems with the boot loader or master boot record. A possible solution might be to boot the pc from the Vista disc and go to repair console and type in fixmbr and fixboot.
Radha is getting the following error message on startup:
“A debugger has been found running on your system. Please unload it from memory and restart your program”
A possible workaround for this might be to click Start – Run – Type “msconfig”. Click the Boot.ini Tab – Advanced, then untick the “Debug” box.
